Tex on the XX

It’s ok Thumper, I went to see Tex et al last night and the rockin’ was just fine – nary a wheatgrass to be seen.

yeah, hate it when singers take the opportunity to have a big whinge between songs. Sonic Youth had some strange between song banter at the ANU last year, crapping on about liver cleansing diets among other things. Then someone in the crowd yelled out “Wheatgrass – yay!”. Not something I think I’ve ever heard at a show before or since.

Still, in the man’s defence, it does sound a little bit tightarsed on the Stones behalf.

Tex is the lead singer of the Beasts of Bourbon and the Cruel Sea and some other band he has with Don Walker (of Cold Chislel).

Colism. You could ask why, when supporting the Stones the last time they toured, instead of showcasing their music to a shed load of people who probably didn’t know who they were, he chose to bitch about not being able to use the Stones lighting rig and effects system etc between each song…
