Thai culture adds spice to classic Canberra day

By Ian Bushnell 21 September 2017

The satay sticks were sizzling amid traditional music as the Royal Thai Embassy in Yarralumla hosted its Food and Cultural Festival on Sunday.

A classic Canberra spring day brought the public out to savour the spicy flavours of Thai food and enjoy music and dance from the local community.

Performers in colourful traditional costume entertained the crowds as they sampled the delicious cuisine of Thailand in the the embassy grounds.

Special guests included Miss World Australia winner Esma Voloder and the Chief Minister, Andrew Barr.

Local photographer Jack Mohr was on site to capture all the action.
