The UC Monitor has the intriguing news that their Centre for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES) has been elevated to the commanding heights of the ACT Export Hall of Fame.

CCES Chief Executive Officer David Widdowson said the award was unexpected.

”You don’t really enter for the Hall of Fame award or put in an application or anything, it’s just something the Chief Minister at his discretion may include you in. So it was a bit of surprise, but it was a very nice surprise,” he said.

“We do a lot of work to assist ACT exporters so it was nice recognition of the work we’ve done in relation to our exporting achievements,” Professor Widdowson said.
