The ACT Supreme Court Invigilation Panel Complete

johnboy 10 August 2010 1

Simon Corbell has announced that fresh from chairing the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission The Hon. Bernard Teague AO is going to be the third acting judge clearing out the backlogs in the ACT Supreme Court:

The Hon. Bernard Teague AO is a former partner from Corr & Corr and is a retired judge of the Supreme Court Victoria (1987 – 2008). From 2001-2007 he was the Principal Judge of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court Victoria.

The Hon. Bernard Teague AO has been a member of many judicial and legal organisations, and is a retired judicial member of the Victorian Adult Parole Board. He has published articles and conference papers on defamation, lawyer competence, courts-media relations and judicial ethics.

As interesting as the justice they dispense will be their thoughts on the operation of the law in the ACT when these heavyweights have finished.
