e-waste

Was a little quieter than I expected (lunchtime), new arrivals every few minutes, no que – Weekend is going to be crazy busy.

They are only taking TV’s and Computer/Monitors – all the rest (microwave, casette players, cd player etc) are going over to Tiny’s

So don’t think you can dump every electronic thing you have

e-waste

LOL I have a TV that I’m pretty sure weighs more than me, so you can guess the size of it. Could fit plenty if stuff in there!

Do evil kittens weigh more than your average well-mannered kitten?

I jumped to the assumption that your are unladen, but are you an african or european evil kitten, i believe that makes a difference.

I’m not sure which I am, but I am definitely unladen! Looks like it’s into the canyon for us!

Thanks for the reminder. Will call in this arvo with my 2. Woz waiting for a dark and stormy night and into the school yard they went, but have told to get rid of them NOW.

It says it’s completely free everywhere I’ve seen. I’m sure there would be a “However, you still need to pay….. ” blurb on the Government info related to this if that were the case.

Sounds like you could offload a bit of rubbish if you had a nice rear-projection TV that you could fill up with waste youd normally have to pay for, then simply dump the TV there for free.. They wouldnt even know until theyd paid to ship it to china or africa or wherever. Seems like a good way to get rid of anything else they might like to surcharge you for.. trojan horse style.

One thing I havent quite caught, if you take a car load of monitors to the tip, do you still get charged the fee for a ‘car load’ of rubbish, but no longer have to pay the per item surcharge? Or is this simply free dumping, with no payment required at all?

They will take TVs, computers and computer peripherals. Yep, they won’t take the rest of electrical and electronic waste, but bring computer peripherals along if you want to get rid of them.

Pity, I need a 34cm TV for a C64 and Amiga.
