When Mojo Juju called to ask if The Ellis Collective would support Birds & Belles debut EP launch (@ The Phoenix this Wednesday at 8:30), the answer had to be yes.
Given that they’re good mates with The Understudy, A Disappointing Fireworks Display and Matty’s favourite artist Pegs Adams (The Firekites), we’ve been fans of their stuff from since an age ago.
So, in what is fast becoming an Ellis Collective tradition, we are proud to be the first to bring you another small slice of awesome Newcastle musicality. And for free no less.
We’ll even promise to sweeten the deal with two brand spanking new, never played before Ellis Collective pieces of broken-heartedness. Matty makes us use the phrase ‘best ever’ whenever we reference them.
