i must say, revisiting ainslie recently walking a friend’s hound in the mornings made me realise i’d missed the sight of roos bounding along the suburban streets. had a japanese guest staying when i lived in the suburb who was delighted near out of her skin when she awoke the first day to roos on our front lawn, then an echidna at the end of the street (which we shephered safely across to a reserve lest it become bullbar fodder, as was so eloquently put above…)
