Arkitex designed the new five-bedroom home with inspirations taken from mid-century American homes most often associated with Palm Springs.
The aim was to deliver a home built around a pool and entertainment areas with separate bedroom, living, dining and kitchen wings—all connected through high ceilings and long corridors with floor-to-ceiling windows. The result is a home with plenty of light, space, intrigue and usability.
Everything from the 16 Velux skylights, angled ceiling and roof lines to the flowing drapes, Slim Aarons prints and light fixtures celebrate the best Californian design interpreted for the purpose and style of the Googong location that Cathy and her family love living in.
