Christmas lights don’t have the same effect any more. Years ago, it used to be quite exciting to do a drive around and spot Christmas lights at different houses. The Christmas tree in the window and sometimes lights outside. Now it is an overblown display where some people over do their places and people can become blasé about the lights. In many ways, we have been over saturated with the displays of lights. For the normal Joe Blogs, he might wonder why he should bother putting up his paltry decorations when they are nothing like the ‘good’ ones that are talked about. It seems to me that most people don’t bother putting up some decorations any more as they are not ‘good’ enough compared to places like Tennyson Crescent.
Having just returned from a tour of Canberra’s Christmas light attractions, I’d have to say that Tennyson Crescent, whilst impressive in quantity, doesn’t compare in quality to some other displays.
Wonderful pics Martin, thanks for sharing. Good poem Poetix, thanks for the link.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Merry Christmas to you too.
