After over a year of hiding away, beloved CBR political punk band Super Best Friends are back! For a taste for those not familiar with SBF, here is their wildly popular ‘Round And Round’ video. They will be getting together for a one-off show with their good friends Penguin and Cockbelch, playing at Transit Bar from 8 pm on Friday.

On Thursday, Québécois avant-garde thrash band Voivod will be touring as part of their 35th anniversary, playing at The Basement with Contrive from 7 pm. On Friday, Tasmanians Luca Brasi will be taking the stage at MOLO Live, with Eat Your Heart Out and Jacob also playing, from 7 pm.

Smith’s has a cracking line-up this Saturday, with King B-Fine and DJ Jeeb Buju on from 6 pm then Los Chavos and Yakumama starting from 9:30 pm. There’s also quite a bit on this Sunday, with Melburnians Have/Hold launching a new album at The Phoenix with Agency, Lost Coast and Flash Anthem, while over at Smith’s will be CBR Folk & Roots, with Zambezi Sounds, Kopasetic, Rebecca Mann and more, taking the stage from 6 pm.
