Things that go Boom in the Morning

By che - 9 September 2005 6

Does anyone know what the loud explosion/boom/noise in the Belconnen area at 6.15 this morning was?

I thought it might have been the mad substation bomber, and then as I was driving to work I saw the top of a power pole explode. I could be in for a weird old day.

What’s Your opinion?

i have no input on this, because the power where im living is very flaky anyway, so i wouldn’t really notice if it blacked out.. i’d just be like “eh well.”

I blame UBD maps for printing the location of our major bits of electrical infrastucture very clearly on their maps.

Short-circuit Seamus must have found his way out of Tuggers. O’Connor next. Then Civic, just in time for Friday night.

substation shorts have been creating sweet havoc in the belco area since last night

yeah Che,

I thought I heard a boom just before I got up.

Then again considering I was nursing a ‘I watched cricket and drank beer until midnight’ hangover, it could have been my brain bursting.

Has anyone seen a shaking quaking body laying on the ground near a substation?

You are in for a weird day….
