Three teenage boys will face the ACT Children’s Court today after a month-long investigation into an armed robbery.

During the evening of 12 September, it is alleged that a 14-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys committed an armed robbery at a takeaway store in Kippax.

Yesterday, police executed a search warrant at a Holt home where they found a sawn-off shotgun, a machete and items of clothing believed to be those worn by the offenders during the armed robbery. The three teenagers were arrested and charged.

Further enquiries are being conducted and police are expecting additional charges to be laid.

Anyone with information that could assist police in relation to recent armed robberies is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
