Hello RiotAct Readers! Long time no comment! I recently sent out an email telling everybody what I’ve been doing for the last few months and letting all Canberrans know that I’ll be playing at the Hippo this Thursday night, the 30th of August, at about 9.15pm. Bonfire, who happens to be on my email list, wisely suggested I post something on riotact, and I thought… well duh… how obvious… but for some reason didn’t occur to me. So to anybody interested, I’ve just returned from my first national tour playing in pubs, theatres and cafes all the way from melbourne to brisbane and back. There were some great shows, one terrible show and a few average ones. But I managed to stay afloat from selling cds, and now that I”ve had time to do some “accounting” i’ve discovered that enough cds have been sold to cover the costs of getting them printed. That’s worth celebrating in itself, so anybody who’d like to celebrate with me, come to the hippo on thursday night. I’ll be singing songs, selling cds and enjoying the fact I’m back in my hometown. I’ll be joined by Melbourne folk-rockers Floyd Thursby, who you can hear here. Doors open roughly at 8.30pm and it’s $10 entry. Hope to see some of you there…
