bunnings parking

JessP sent in this corker yesterday afternoon with this note:

At Bunnings Belconnen this afternoon [Sunday].

Those trolleys are so hard to move!

A note had been left on the windscreen which put my sentiments so well ‘Great parking d***head’.

Bravo

My young son is a trolley boy if people took their trollies back he wouldn’t have a job so I make a point of not taking them back

Does he also collect punctuation?

Such wit from someone so anal.
Perhaps you would like to contribute something useful.

Damn, I’ve got photos but it was too dark and doesn’t come up too clearly of a bad bad park.
….should I try posting it up for lulz?

Do you think we will be laughing at the failed parking, or at your failed photo?

Just sayin’.

Shame I don’t carry a camera with me everywhere. Maybe I should get a cheapo camera just to capture idiots on the road heh

A mate of mine got fwit parking retribution big time but didn’t mean to! He was parked in the old carpark where they’ve now contstructed the multi-level park and was inside doing his shopping. He’s come out to put his bags in the car, and this guy has just parked in three cars, one being my mates! Just parked right behind them. He says “hey mate, ah that’s my car you’ve just parked in.” Guy replies “yeah, so?” to which my mate replies, “well you’ve parked me in and I can’t get out, that’s my car right there behind yours.”
“Go and fvck yourself” was the reply as this bloke simply just walks away. As he walks away my mate obviously follows saying “hey mate, I need to get to my car!!” and as he’s approaching, the guy just takes the crappest swing at him ever!! Unfortunately he’s picked the wrong bloke to randomly swing at and my mates popped in two quick defensive jabs, boom, the bloke is out cold!! Oh sh!t, now what??? So he turns the guy over on his side, puts him in the recovery position, grabs the keys out of this pocket, moves the blokes car out of the way and problem solved!! Poor bugger was really distressed when I saw him straight after, said you better check in to the old cop shop mate, so he did. Only drama was that he ‘left the scene’, but I mean what’s he supposed to do, wait til the guy regains conciousness so he can swing at him again!!
Ah karma, sometimes it’s great.

I have heard this story dozens of times and I always laugh, never getsick of hearing it.
Ahhh top bloke he is.

Pictured, would be the sort of driver that parks in the “No standing” area of Aldi Lanyon carpark. On the subject of parking and trolleys, I have taken to fetching rogue Woolies trolleys and sticking them in front of the “no standing” parking offenders. Yesterday, I had to bite my tongue on observing one of the said dyslexic offenders, in bringing to his attention that sitting next to your car, talking on your phone, is not the same as standing and talking on your phone next to your car in a “no standing” zone..

Carpark at Belco Bunnings can be a bit hard on paintwork unless you park on the uphill parks in each section. That way, when the shopper with a trolley comes back to their uphill park and lets go of trolley to open their car boot, their feral trolley rolls and hits a car that aint yours. Seen it happen quite a few times but never seen anyone leave a note explaining the scratches. Perhaps they could hold a carpark procedures and ethics class on the first Saturday of every month til we get it right.

Note the family stickers on the back, a good indication of d!ckhead driver. They’re the new frangipanis…

I went to Brisbane for a few weeks earlier in the year and those family stickers were everywhere. I hadn’t seen them before.
One fellows car had a sticker of gallows and stick family member hanging and it said “F&ck your family”….

Ahh, the fallacy of Broken Window Ecomonics – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parable_of_the_broken_window

If people took 30 seconds to return the trollies, the store wouldn’t need to pay your son and the rest of us would therefore get lower prices on purchases from the store. Thus, we could spend the savings at a new store – which would offer people like your son a job. You are depriving your son of a more productive and interesting job.

Alas his preferred job as mega rock star was not available, however his second choice is CEO but involves starting at the bottom.
I some how think if Bunnings got rid of any staff it would be for the benefit of shareholders not consumers.

Ha! That’s great! It would have been even better if your mate parked the jerk’s car in a 5 minute park or no stopping zone, or somewhere else that would have resulted in a hefty fine.

My father repairs car panels so I’ll make a point of banging my trolley into your car.

maybe I’ll ring up her ad and say “by the way – your dodgy parking at Bunnings was noticed…”

I think you should. Shaming bad parkers is a very good idea. Maybe then they will learn.

In my opinion these people park like crap not because they’re bad drivers but because they just don’t give a shit about anyone else which just makes the whole thing even more annoying.

Damn, I’ve got photos taken from my phone but it was too dark and doesn’t come up too clearly of a bad bad park.

This was in Braddon and I came back to my car to find a P Plated car parked next to mine on the left and way over the line into my space. It literally left so little space next to mine a person could not fit in there….what’s funny is that to the left of that offending car was a walkway and heaps of space… FAIL PARKING….should I try posting it up for lulz?

Argh, beat me to it. It means We Are Speshul from what I can gather. Some mob in the US is selling stickers you can add-on to My Family stickers, very funny and subversive, but I forgot to note down the url.

Not sure why they didn’t drive straight in, it’s only a small car.

Because as you can see, this A grade driver uses the front of their car to determine whether or not they’re in the car space by hitting the gutter.

I’m not sure if I agree with this. It’s good that your son wants to work but my car has been hit by a couple of rogue trolleys in the past because of people no doubt following this line of thinking. I don’t think my car should have to suffer so that your son can do that job.

Also, don’t the trolley people still get paid because they actually bring in the trolleys from the trolley bays in the carparks back into the store? Or does bunnings not have carpark trolley bays?
