Work to repair a burst water main at the intersection of Mouat Street and Goodwin Street in Lyneham is likely to cause driver delays today.

Traffic marshals will be in attendance with motorists warned to expect delays in the area between 9.30am and mid-afternoon.

A section of road may be fully closed for short periods, with a detour in place around Brigalow Street and Wattle Street.

Barriers and warning signs will be erected on site to alert people to the closure.

The hole was already there for peak hour traffic. I didn’t realise just how deep it was until I heard the front bumper hitting the gravel.

Would be nice ifnthe signs and barricades had been up before then.
