VP Day in Canberra in August

There will be special events happening in Canberra for VP day 13-15 August.

Details on the Dept Veterans Affairs website

There will be equipment displays, balloon rides, band performances, flyovers etc. National Archives will also be helping people look up information about their family members from their WWII archives.

I wholly concur Thumper; we owe a debt to our heroes. The debt is that we should not become a nation of spineless pussy tree huggers, and that every ANZAC day we get up before the sun and take a few moments to remember them.

Just thought I’d throw that in… Well, it was either that or I’d let you all know I love fly overs. I also love turning to the person next to me and saying things like “you wouldn’t have a chance, mate’ or ‘by the time you heard it you’d already be dead’.

ahhh, there you go again b. missing the point. I just believe in tact and taste, subtle as opposed to heavy handed.

looking at the program, with a few exceptions, it generally sounds like a well thought out couple of days.
