You are invited to join Motor Neurone Disease Australia on SUNDAY JUNE 19 at 10AM at Regatta Point, Lake Burley-Griffin for the annual Walk to D’feet MND to mark the MND/ALS Global Day.

Approximately 1400 Australians are currently living with this debilitating disease, Motor Neurone Disease. Average life expectancy is 2 to 3 years from diagnosis. The impact on sufferers and their families is devastating. The is no effective treatment and no cure. We need your help and Global Day is a solstice – a turning point – where members of the MND community gather to express their hope that this day will be a turning point in the search for cause, treatment and cure of this awful disease.

The walk is a 5.5km walk/run/bike ride along the R G Menzies Walk to the Carillion & return through the beautiful gardens. The walk is wheelchair and dogs-on-lead friendly.

We will be commencing from the National Capital Exhibition Centre at Regatta Point, Commonwealth Park (access via Barrine Drive). After the walk the Gungahlin Rotary will be holding a sausage sizzle. We will have merchandise for sale also.

All registered walkers receive a “Walk to d’feet T-shirt, registered dogs receive a MND Dog Lead .
