Chief Minister Stanhope is warning us all that 4,000 youngsters have descended on us for the Pacific School Games.
- Chief Minister Jon Stanhope will welcome around 4,000 competitors to Canberra for the 8th Pacific School Games when the Opening Ceremony kicks off at the Canberra Stadium today.
The ACT Government provided $1.8 million to host the week-long international event which draws the best athletes aged 10 to 19 from across Australia and the Asia Pacific. Joining them will be 700 coaches and officials, 650 volunteers and thousands of spectators.
