One of my favourite acts to come out of Canberra this year are launching their first EP this Saturday night at The Front in Lyneham.
They had this to say about it:
They say being in a band is a good way to spend your twenties. The members of Waterford wouldn’t know, as they took up indie rock at an age when most musicians run away from the circus to take up accountancy. Thankfully they still have the hairlines, and tunes, to pull this whole rock’n’roll caper off. Think of what your older brothers with the good record collections would have sounded like if they had have formed a band. Waterford launches its eponymous debut EP at the Front Saturday 5 December with Voss and the poet CJ. 8pm. Free.
