Waterplant guide released

“This guide, Glove box guide Waterplants of the ACT region, has been designed to be a portable ready reference in the field, a first stop on the way to identification of species. The guide contains examples of plants from a variety of wet places across the ACT – the floaters, the in stream plants, the muddy fringe dwellers, and the reed-bed makers.

“The guide also contains information on how the plants overcome the challenges of life in the water, and a list of references for further information.

“I hope that this guide will help and be enjoyed by all those who walk along our waterways and picnic by our wetlands, as well as the fishermen, cyclists, bushwalkers and anyone else who uses these areas,” Dr Bourke said.
