I have one of them in my fly fishing tackle box. Yours seems better made though.
Apparently it’s a type of Tussock Moth caterpillar due to the four tufts of hair on its back which, as mentioned could have stinging cells.

IIRC it causes a moderate rash by the poison from it’s fine hair…
So don’t let the kinds touch it.

That’s a Robert Menzies Eyebrow caterpillar. Or possibly a Pixie Merkin caterpillar.
