The ABC brings word that Patricia Papallo has been speedily acquitted by a jury on charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on one Ivana Simic at the vodka infused North Bar in Civic:

In July 2008, Ms Papallo was at North Bar when she got into an altercation with Ivana Simic.

The jury heard that escalated to the point where Ms Papallo threw a glass of wine at Ms Simic.

She then allegedly struck the complainant’s arm with the glass, causing cuts.

Several witnesses gave evidence during the trial, telling the court there were arms going everywhere, hair pulled and screaming and swearing.

One hour was all it took the jury to decide on not guilty.

Glassed with a wine glass. Classy.

Hearsay, but I understand that the key problem with the prosecution was that the bouncer, on ejecting the alleged victim after the altercation, did not observe any cuts on her arms.

I miss the vodka infusions. there’d be no wine throwing if you could still get redskin absolut.
