What's opening in Canberra this long weekend?

COVID-19 restrictions are easing just enough for some of our favourite Canberra businesses to re-open this weekend, with appropriate social distancing measures in place and caps on numbers attending.

If you’re looking for a new place to rent or buy, check out the latest hot listings on Zango. Open homes are back so check for inspection times for homes on display this weekend.

Pialligo Estate is back with six distinct and separate dining spaces with a mouth-watering a la carte menu. Bookings can be made online.

Town Centre Vikings Moo & Brew Cafe is open again, for both dine-in and take away customers. The café will be open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a maximum of 10 people to sit and eat for a duration of 1 hour, leaving a maximum of 10 people accessing takeaway services. The cafe is not taking bookings, but walk-in customers will be welcomed.

The delicious home-cooked Italian food eatery Antica Ricetta at Manuka will be heating up the pasta pot and are open for bookings for up to 10 people at a time. Bookings are essential, call them on 02 6295 2778 to dine in, and remember that takeaway is a great option for a Saturday night feast.

Walt & Burley is open for business and accepting bookings for Saturday and Sunday. Give them a call on 02 6239 6648 to book or drop in from 11:00 am till late.

If you’ve been missing your cultural fix, you’ll be pleased to know the National Gallery of Australia will reopen on Tuesday, 2 June for timed 30-minute entry tickets. Details are available on their website, and patrons are advised pre-booked timed tickets will have preference over walk-ins.

The kids will be excited to learn the National Dinosaur Museum is opening for pre-booked session times, although there are no general public tours or birthday parties yet. Session times are available to pre-book on their website.

Siren Bar and Restaurant will re-open for dining in and is taking bookings for up to 20 people only at a time, so give them a call on 02 6162 0377 or 0472 658 033 and head down between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm on Friday, or 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday and Sunday for lunch and 4:00 pm until late on Saturday and Sunday for dinner. Takeaway is also an option and delivery is available.

If you feel like some fresh air and an outstanding lunch, Lake George Winery has re-opened the Westering Restaurant for bookings at set times, and you can partake of wine and charcuterie on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Wine Cellar. Give them a call on 0437 135 767 or book online.

Cinnabar on the Kingston foreshore is also open from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm. Bookings can be made through Open Table or The Fork or by calling 02 6140 7038. Seating will be limited to 20 patrons and Tasting China will reopen for 20 patrons at a time from 11:00 am to 1:00 am. Call them on 5100 3324 to book.

Club Lime

Club Lime has set up an online booking system for patrons so head to their website to reserve a workout time or a class that suits you. Smaller gyms will be booking 20 members at a time, larger clubs with multiple enclosed areas will be able to cater to more members. Bookings can be made by members through the website at clublime.com.au.

Hiit Republic is excited to be back with a new timetable for members. Sessions will be capped at 20 people and social distancing will be in place. Bookings can be made by members through their website at hiitrepublic.com.au.

The Den is reopening for fast and fierce sessions from 8:00 am Saturday with a new COVID-19 timetable and social distancing in place. Contact them on 0405 415 187 for a session time that suits you.

Elements4Life is re-opening for functional training with a new timetable for a maximum of 20 people per session, with sessions starting at 7:30 am Saturday. Bookings through the app are essential, but new members are welcome to email the team to book for the induction session.
