Where is the best place to trade in a car for cash?

I have a 89 Mazda, that is no longer registered or insured, that is taking up space in my garage. It still runs well, she’s just old and in true public service terms “surplus to requirement”.

I would like to get a little cash for it, as whoever gets it would probably get quite a bit in scrap and/or parts.

Has anyone turned in a car like this before and do you have any advice on easiest disposal?

If it goes, I’d imagine a poverty-stricken student or something would be interested in it. If it was registerable.

I’ll buy it from you if it’s in good enough condition to pass a roadworthy. My email is gunsnroses@live.com.sg

They took one of mine away a while back, $500 if it rolls on wheels and they pick it up. I’ve used them a few times, excellent service.

I did leave a dishwasher out overnight for a booked pick up in the morning and some idiot neighbour thought I was dumping it on the path and put it back on my front porch in the middle of the night.

I had to laugh when I took it out again in the morning, at least I had a trolley

EzyScrap (http://www.ezyscrap.com.au/) says they give cash for cars. Not sure how much though, would depend on the car.
