Where to get cargo shorts and a straw cowboy hat in Canberra in July?

As to the straw hat, I would suggest Anglicare in Queanbeyan etc, (I bought an Italian straw hat recently) but as you grotty worker types don’t have time to troll through every opshop, perhaps Surf Dive Sea (spelling?) in Bunda Street for Billabong or similar?

I noticed on the weekend that some stores are getting their spring gear in now so you might be able to find something. Otherwise try Trade Secret as they seemed to have a mix of seasonal stuff.

Places like Kathmandhu might stock cargoes even at this time of the year. You’re getting really close to spring stock coming out though so you might even manage to see some at General Pants, Just Jeans and places like that. Did you check out that hat stand as you enter Canberra Centre from Ainslie Avenue side? All the surf shops would probably stock them year round I’d imagine.
