At 6pm last night Katy Gallagher announced the winners of the ACT International Women’s Day Awards.

I can’t even buy a girl doll for my daughter that doesn’t look like a 22 year old prostitute. Thus is the state of role models for young women.

To inspire young girls, who are still lacking in successful female public role models who are not famous for their looks or hereditary reasons.

why do we draw a distiction between genders? a good deed is a good deed by any other name…

I strenuously OBJECT to Dr Sue Packer getting an award!

Having seen her in action, I can state that she was biased and anti-male.

What about Shane Warne: he’s done heaps for womyn, hasn’t he?

We get 364 days dude, and what a glorious day it is today.

I suppose there’ll be equivalent awards for International Men’s Day, given we’re so committed to equal opportunity in the ACT?
