My parents are spending Christmas Eve in Canberra for the first time in donkey’s ears and were wondering what events might be on around town to make the night feel more special.

The government doesn’t appear to be putting anything on, unlike New Year’s, and Pants has no ideas. Who’s got suggestions?

A really bad shirt was telling me that there are a few things going down at The Basement on both nights of this glorious religious festival.

National Museum has story time at 11am daily from 23 December if you need amusement for kids. Their cafe is good too. The free exhibition is always a good excuse to wander through an air conditioned space, and you can say you did something productive with your time because it’s educational.

On Christmas eve, I plan to be cooking my christmas lunch.. so there’s something you can do.. have a bbq with lotso f beer in the back yard.

Also, chuck a spear seems like an idiot.

awww, how sweet, a refugee from SGS’s purges.

Future comments on this thread, however, will be strictly policed for their On-Topic value.

That goes for you all.

This is my first post on this site and judging from the very odd outlooks on life that the contributers have it may be my last. However, I am not a man of my word.

To counter the general lack of anything to do around Xmas, howsabout this?. If people are interested, we will sort out something fun, quickly.

actually, PANTs was debating whether to admit that they had noticed there is going to be “Carols In Da House” at the Canberra Christian Life Centre (nee Charnwood High).
