Simon Corbell has announced a new website to keep tabs on all the tracks:

The Canberra Tracks network of heritage signage has come of age with a brand new interactive website giving full access to the intriguing stories of numerous sites across the ACT, Minister for the Environment and Sustainable Development, Simon Corbell announced today.

“Until now, if you wanted to find out about heritage places in Canberra you could try and get hold of the booklet or to look them up on various websites but from today locals and visitors need only to go to one place,” Mr Corbell said.

Canberra Tracks is a gateway to the ACT’s stories, places and heritage through a suite of self-drive routes that lead to many of Canberra’s historic places, landscapes and communities.

The website includes six tracks crisscrossing the ACT with fully researched listings for all points of interest along the way which link to separate web pages full of facts, figures and photos about the sites.

Confusing name, Tracks makes me think of dirt tracks, not of “a suite of self-drive routes”.

Hmmmm… dreadful.
