Shane Rattenbury has just planted the first of 100 planned trees that are to be planted to celebrate the centenary.

“A range of deciduous trees have been selected for planting that will provide a variety of autumn colours,” Mr Rattenbury said. “The concept of planting 100 trees by the lake will provide a legacy from Canberra’s Centenary year that can be enjoyed by future generations.”

The reports say Rattenbury planted it, but the following photo makes it seem like Jyll Bradley is doing all the work.

Cheaper than the whale.

That tree doesn’t look to deciduous to me?
