Alistair Coe is asking pointed questions of just where Simon Corbell’s grand light rail visions are coming to and from:
After questioning from Deputy Opposition Leader Alistair Coe, Simon Corbell has again refused to provide documents relating to the massive light rail project.
“Today in Estimates, Simon Corbell refused to release documents he claims to have about light rail, even though he uses the documents to justify the project,” Mr Coe said today.
“To date, we have seen not one engineers’ report, not one business study, not one cost benefit analysis. However, on Friday last week, Simon Corbell claimed that such documents do exist but they have not been released to the public.”
…
“Treasurer Andrew Barr has already admitted ACT Labor will proceed with light rail ‘at any cost.’ Meanwhile, the Canberra Liberals have been calling for proper studies to be conducted and released.
“It is simply unacceptable that Simon Corbell and ACT Labor are rushing into a project that will cost hundreds of millions of dollars in upfront costs and unknown millions in on-going costs without revealing these studies to the public,” Mr Coe concluded.
