Don’t look at me like that, Gail, you love people! Photo: RSPCA ACT.
Cat of the Week: Gail
Sweet little Gail is one of those cats who wants to be around people. She’s seven years old and has clearly been loved and treated well. And she’s little … for an adult cat anyway.
Gail is an explorer of sorts as well. She’ll inspect every nook and cranny of your home, and allowing her to do this will help her settle in quickly.
Mostly, it will be the level of affection you’ll need to show when looking after her. Lots of cuddles. Oh, it’s not unusual, but she’s not too keen on loud noises, so a quiet, calm home will be just the thing for you and Gail to become best friends.
Drop by and see our large variety of cats and kittens. If you’re after a new feline companion, it’s almost a certainty that we have the cat you’re longing for.

Rocky’s the best of both breeds … can you guess what they are? Photo: RSPCA ACT.
Dog of the Week: Rocky
Rocky is a Beaglier (Cavalier-cross Beagle) and is a lovely little guy awaiting his new home. He’s truly a 50/50 mix of both breeds, too, showing all of the character traits.
The Beagle in him is always sniffing out new adventures (and he can smell a rabbit from a mile away). He loves his walks and likes to tell the neighbourhood that he’s coming!
The Cav King Charles in Rocky, including loyalty, affection towards people and patience is also there, making him a great all-rounder who perhaps might flourish with an owner experienced with either breed.
He’d likely do well with another doggy companion, too.
The checklist remains the same for Rocky and most dogs: a good, sturdy fence, a backyard to explore, and a daily walk are all the things you’ll need to adopt this handsome little guy.
Pawnotes: Last week we saw 50 animals adopted into new homes, thanks for the support Canberra! Unfortunately … or fortunately for you, there are plenty more great animals waiting for you to adopt.
