ACT Policing is investigating two small fires which occurred at Garran Primary School earlier today (Monday, September 9).

Around 2.30pm police were called to two small fires at the school, one inside a toilet block and the other within the main building.

ACT Fire and Rescue were already on the scene and quickly contained the fires. Minor damage was sustained in both instances.

The investigation was handed over to ACT Policing about 4pm.

Investigations will continue to determine the cause of the fire.

Police are urging anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously or can assist with the investigation to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
