Yeah and the consequences aren’t particularly bad. Three months without a licence isn’t difficult (I know because I did it). If the suspension period was one year and a $2k – $5k fine for the first offence I think it would prove a better deterrent.

I don’t think it’s that simple either. People HOPE they won’t get get caught and are risking the consequences.

Great idea to have night buses here (it would get the taxi driver’s backs up though) but what percentage of the 153 caught were driving late at night? I’m sure quite a few were done before midnight.

How about if you’re going to have bars and clubs open until the early hours of the morning we provide a reasonably affordable public transport system to compliment them? Global economic crisis and all

You only have to look at newspapers to see the abysmal state of spelling and grammar in our journalists. The Queanbeyan Age is a good example. Their journos can’t spell to save their lives. It drives me mad. One of these days I’ll write them a letter.

I think Gen Y must have all got jobs writing press releases. It seems to be anything goes all of a sudden.

Some people are just sooooo dumb.

It’s not hard to not do something.

During work hours it is easy to not do work.

Why is it any different to not drink and drive.
