Ignoring expert reports leads to overcrowded prison

That way the streets will be safer and so will the crims and their guards.

Home detention is not ideal for the families of prisoners as it places them in a conflicted position (i.e., the family becomes the person’s gaoler). Besides, I doubt that it would make a sufficient dent in the present number problem, as only ‘low risk’ prisoners would be eligible, they would have to have suitable family support, and it would probably only be towards the end of the person’s sentence.

They will just have to bite the bullet and build more buildings, given that we are going to need them into the future. Meanwhile, they could move the remandees elsewhere. Remandees shouldn’t be mixing with convicted prisoners anyway.

Will someone called Bubba make home visits at shower time?

Is Watchirs watching? Who’s watching the Watchirs or anyone else in ACT Government being that we do not have an ICAC or similar?

if the Massey mob and friends and associates were freed, the prisons would probably be empty again. But then we’d be back to armed robberies, thefts, assaults and getting our precious hard earned stuff nicked…

Sell the luxury apartments to yuppies and setup some tents for the prisoners. You could fit hundreds of crims in tents on that site.
