Well it’s that time of the week again. What’s happening this weekend amid the bursts of rain?

(Apart from drinks at the Durham of course)

trivia night.

only place apart from here that a lifetime of accumulated facts figures and axioms get an airing.

& with Little Smoke tonight are Super Best Friends…heard very good reports about this band. Should be a good one.

Pop The Pot will of course be great…lots of good bands this year….good new bands, which is always great to see.

Little Smoke and Pop the pot. Awesome gigs, apart from the moderately overpriced crap carlton draught. but it is my best mates loungue room so who cares.

Yes, but unlike other uni students you chose not to fail!

I know Thumper. I’ve obviously failed at being a proper uni student…

@Jey, yes.

Pop the Pot looks a goer.

Thumper, same time, same bat channel ?

I’m WFH today, but have made the necessary arrangements to attend Durham 🙂

Canberra Festival of One Act Plays. Promises to be a good weekend. It is on at the Vikings Club in Erindale. $10 for a session (3 plays) or $300 for the whole weekend. Starts at 5pm tonight. Can highly recommend the afternoon session tomorrow. Especially the play on at 4pm. Ok, sure, fine, I’m in it.

Hate to break it to you Thumper but actually I don’t. Well not yet anyway, but that’s getting worked on.

‘sides, I’m working.

This ‘terrorfest’, I’m getting the vibe that it’s live metal. Is this so?

My bf is dying to hit a live metal gig.

From my browsing of BMA:

NICK WARREN/Lot 33/October 2

ED RUSH & OPTICAL/Toast/October 1

They’ve got TerrorFest down at ANU bar for 01-OCT-05 but the website and our own coverage indicates is actually at the Holy Grail in Civic (cudos to the Grail stepping up to the plate so late).

THE RED PAINTINGS @ the Green Room saturday night

SIX PACK – Six Pack, six new short plays about love, rage, longing and lunacy, will open at The Street Theatre Studio on September 22, and run till October 8.

The new look Cube has been re-opened for those so inclined.

Little Smoke are playing the Pot Belly Friday Night

Pop The Pot on Saturday night at the Pot Belly has an amazing line up.

well after this rain I’ll be heading to The Garden sale, 20% off i hear. Now that there has been heaps of rain we are in for a good spring, so we can make the garden look nice again!

Dan Banks Band at B bar on sunday night from 7pm… for those who arent into the NRL (like me)

And for anyone going to Beat the Retreat tonight, it is definitely still on but it’s recommended to bring something to wipe the seats with.

Anyways, events:

Friday 30-SEPT-o5 my band conductor is playing at Toast. I can’t quite work out from the flyer what the group’s called, but it looks like +5 and The Bureau (featuring Kate Neal, Dom Harvey and Tom Burge from the School of Music brass faculty and Lethal who I don’t know). They’re playing something that if I remember rightly was written for brass and electronic stuff (sorry about lack of details, I got told a long time ago).

Anyway, it starts at 7.30pm at Toast and cost is $5. And I can’t go (stupid work).
