I totally agree with Puddah. (BTW, I’m a long time reader, first time poster).

Rachael helped us with our first mortgage last year and we were blown away by her professional and thoughtful service – she organised our loan and was also a great personal support as it was a stressful time for us.

It was our first mortgage and we were a bit green to the whole home loan process but Rachael sat down and explained the ins and outs of it all. With her help, we went to the loan knowing we were doing the right thing.

I’d say anyone who is wanting to get into the property market should give Rachael a ring – she’ll be happy to talk you through your options, so you know what you’d be able to borrow, etc. And she’s got a great referral rewards scheme, too 🙂

A top lady.

Very interesting to see that some people like to add comments when they don’t know the entire story! Brokers get paid a commission from the bank. Not from the customer.

Most people instead of making a back handed comment, would respect a business person enough to listen to what they can provide and then judge. I have known Rachael on a professional basis for over 11 years. She is a mortgage broker with a difference. She actually cares about her clients. from personal experience she treats every customer with a professional manner and gives every option available. Sure, go to CBA and they will tell you THEIR best product. Go to Rachael, and she can tell you which product is best for your life style from 28 banks. Talk about options!!

because the market changes from week to week, sure you might be able to borrow $50,000.00 less than last week……but what a feeling when Rachael can come back to you with another option.

As I said, from personal experience, Rachael is not in Mortgage Broking to treat people as numbers, she will help you not only obtain finance for your house…….but for your home. There is a big difference. I highly recommend Rachael to new home owners or even someone buying into an investment property etc. Trust me, she will not disappoint you with her knowledge.

@Jazz

I stand corrected

They have a good set of calculators on their website – and it looks as though they are commonsense lenders – their calculator gives me a lot less than some of the calculators on the big bank websites. That’s probably a good sign … there was a young woman in the papers on Saturday bemoaning the interest rate rise, saying: “last week I was in the market for a $600,000 house, this week because of the interest rate rise I can only afford $550,000.” I mean, what fool buys a house without assuming a worst-case scenario of 10 per cent or more, and without making sure they could pay that?

Hehe, the funny thing about ‘No Cost To You’ brokerage is that, when you think about it, technically means they are working for the bank to find them the best customers and not for you to find the cheapest home loan.

It’s true you don’t get charged any fee by your broker, but how can you be sure they are going to be finding you the best deal when there might be greater financial incentive for them to take you to a lender who will pay them a better commission and you slightly higher interest rates?

Then how does going to a broker differ from you going to Westpac or CBA or some other lender and them giving your their product options? A quick google search to compare what a broker is offering to what the bank is offering would show up any differences in interest rates or product options like credit cards, no?

After reading this, I’d prefer to go to a ‘one-stop-shop’ broker rather than go bank shopping.

I clicked so fast and then got furious with my broadband, then realised it wasn’t who I thought it would be.

No idea about Rachael, but I’d definitely reccomend doing your homework before blindly jumping in with anyone:-)

Uh, oh – one of the RA mods forgot to turn the comments off . . .

Pierce:
Thats just her photo from their website.

RiotACT has bills to pay too…
If there were a thousand Premium Members @ $50k per annum, there would probably be less need for Advertising Features.
Personally, my downside would be that I would win fewer freebies, but it not my fault you’re all cheapskates…

As i understand it pierce, the bank/lending institution pays the commission. I doubt its changed from when i went through a mortgage broker years ago that all that detail is spelt out in financial regulations with the documentation you get. Rachael’s prob in a better position to answer that though.

#4 if you’re referring to Coach’s comment you’d be mistaken. Different people.

Please, please, refrain from talking about yourself in the third person!

RA becoming sister publication of City News ? The growth of the flashing ads is enough to make my eyes hurt and spoil my RiotACT reading.

Is it just me or does that look like a cast photo from Prisoner, circa 1979?

On a less flippant note, if we don’t pay for the service, who does? Commission?

If your in the market for a home loan, and want someone to really look after you from beginning to end, then Rachael fits the bill 100%.

Give her a call, chat with her and make up your own mind. She stands out from the crowd in the finance industry!
