Steve Pratt has put out a media release pointing out that levels of Random Breathe Testing in the ACT have fallen to a five year low. (So the previous low was during Liberal Government?)
He goes on to point out that the “targeted approach”, while it might yield more bang for the buck in terms of convictions, also creates a false sense of confidence amongst drivers and fails as a deterrent. He goes on the slyly draw it back to the “more police” stoush.
So the question is, would visible RBT make you less likely to drink and drive?
