Python short course?

I just thought of attending python classes to add it on my cv and maybe potentially increase the chances of being considered in jobs with required python scripting although i will definitely do self-study.

Thanks too for the online resources. I agree with M0les, i find python script pretty straightforward. I haven’t been scripting for years now but it seems python can be easily learned.

Most computer languages nowadays have very good online tutorials on their official sites. Unless you have absolutely no programming experience, this is probably the easiest, quickest and most cost-effective way to get started.

I learnt Python at Reid CIT last year (as part of a diploma course). The unit was online and you could go and see a teacher in the evenings if you needed help. The unit name was “algorithm development & testing” and “automating processes” (they combine these two into one). Maybe give CIT a call.

I don’t think you will find specific courses that you can physically attend given the diversity of it’s use. Working out what you want to achieve with the language first (web, programs, games etc.) might help you narrow down some material but given it’s open source development there should be heaps of stuff online.
