Night Tongue (pictured) is a darkwave duo based all the way in Los Angeles, but originally from Australia, with Andrew Dalziell formerly playing in the brilliant Canberra bands The Henchmen and The Spirits of the Dead. The latter will be playing with Night Tongue on Wednesday night from 8 pm at The Phoenix, as well as wondrous instrumentalist Happy Axe.

The Canberra leg of the National Live Music Awards is on at The Phoenix on Thursday night from 6 pm. Check out the nominees here. Performers on the night include The Burley Griffin, Sputnik Sweetheart and Slagatha Christie. The final Soundscapes of the year will be on at Smith’s Alternative from 9:30 pm – featuring the launch of the 2018 compilation – while Alison Wonderland will be playing at UC Refectory from 8 pm.

Glitoris will be launching their long-awaited new album “The Policy” at The Basement, playing with Brass Knuckle Brass Band and others on Friday, while travellin’-man Skyscraper Stan will be performing with his band The Commission Flats at The Phoenix from 8:30 pm with The Burley Griffin and Second Sun.
