ACT Policing is seeking witnesses, CCTV or dash-cam footage of two ram raids that occurred within one hour of each other at Jamison and Braddon in the early hours of Thursday morning (27 February).
An ACT Policing spokesperson said the Liquorland store at the Jamison shops was rammed by a vehicle at about 4:25 am. The premises sustained damage; however, it appears nothing was stolen.
Then, at about 5:00 am, the Braddon Supermarket on Lowanna Street, Braddon was also rammed by a vehicle. The premises sustained significant damage and an amount of property was stolen.
Police believe the incidents are linked and are looking for a stolen silver Toyota Corolla wagon that was used in both incidents. This vehicle was found by police in Downer later on Thursday morning.
The two ram raids are the first this year, following a run of ram raids in Canberra last year.
Anyone with information about either incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6502756. Information can be provided anonymously.
