Andrew Barr has announced the release of the 2011 Canberra and Capital Region Holiday Planner:
This year’s Holiday Planner showcases individual operators and includes special features on our national attractions, family fun, food and wine, sports and outdoor activities, shopping and events, regional experiences, as well as a comprehensive accommodation guide and maps.
The Holiday Planner is part of the ACT Labor Government’s ongoing commitment to the tourism industry, which contributes around $1.3 billion to the ACT economy and supports around 13,000 local jobs.
The publication has again attracted advertising support from industry, which reflects our partnership approach to marketing the region by involving local tourism operators.
180,000 copies of the 88-page Holiday Planner are being distributed nationally and a flipbook version is available online helping to link ACT tourism businesses with visitors from around Australia and the globe.
The Holiday Planner is available from the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre, NSW regional tourist information centres, the Sydney Visitors Centre and regional tourism organisations across Australia. It is also distributed to travel agents, bus and coach companies, media and motoring associations, the Canberra Convention Bureau and is included in the ACT Government’s Live in Canberra information packs.
