As part of 30th Birthday celebrations Giralang Primary School is hosting the Giralang Community Fair this Saturday (25th) from 10am till 2pm.
There will be a white elephant stall and book stall, a cafe and a cake stall as well as some musical entertainment to enjoy with your coffee and cake. There are some great prizes in the $1 50-ticket mini-raffles ($50 vouchers at Brand Depot and various eateries around town).
As well the P&C are running “G-bay”, a silent-auction of a number of items, some of the more eye-catching items: an Apple MacBook valued at $1,599, an iPod valued at $349, an iPod Hi-Fi valued at $519, a hand crafted myrtle coffee table from Uneke Furniture and a Collectors edition Cricket Bat signed by Michael Hussey.
There’ll be fun for the kids: face-painting, rides, badge making, sausage sizzle, prize-wheel ($1 spin and win), wizards and witches “shoppe”, lucky dips.
As well the local Scout group will run some FREE activities (build and race billy carts, bridge building challenge) and the Ginninderra Wetlands have an information stall where the budding scientists can examine microscopic water creatures.
The YMCA will also provide some FREE activities for the littlies and the local playgroup in conjunction with Noah’s Ark playschool will also provide some activities for the young and young at heart.
