ACT Policing has uncovered a quantity of drugs, cash and prohibited weapons following two separate search warrants early this morning (June 22), one on a house in Wanniassa and another on an apartment in Reid.
Around 5am, members of ACT Policing Specialist Response and Security and Criminal Investigations executed the warrant on the house.
During the search, police located and seized a sum of cash, a Taser-like device and an imitation firearm along with a quantity of drugs, believed to be methlyamphetamine (MDMA), lysergic acid diathylamidel (LSD) and gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB). The drugs were found concealed under the floor of the house.
During the execution of the warrant in Reid from 6am today, officers from ACT Policing Beats Team and Criminal Investigations seized an imitation firearm, cash, four notebook computers, four mobile telephones and a quantity of drugs, believed to be heroin.
The 39-year-old Wanniassa man and 33-year-old Reid man will face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
