A motorcyclist has become the seventh person to die on ACT roads this year.
The 28-year-old died following a single vehicle accident late yesterday afternoon (Friday 25 October).
About 5:50 pm, the motorcyclist was entering onto Gungahlin Drive from the Barton Highway on ramp when he fell from his bike.
First aid was provided by witnesses and the man was transported to hospital by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics in a critical condition. Sadly, the man was declared dead soon after his arrival at hospital.
An investigation by the Major Collision Team has started and multiple witnesses have been spoken with.
This fatality brings the total number of road deaths in the ACT this year to seven.
