The Canberra Times has an interesting story for those who have long suspected that security firms might be involved in organised crime.
The ACT Magistrates Court heard police had seized what they believed to be more than 140 tablets or pills suspected of containing MDMA (or ecstasy) from the owner of MIL Security, Michael Ian Lawrence, 42, of Chifley.
…
In a later search of Lawrence’s residence, police say they found additional tablets and powder, and a Jennings J-22 pistol.
In a subsequent search of Lawrence’s office in his business premises, they say they uncovered a Glock semi-automatic pistol, ammunition and a broken tablet.
Amazingly for all concerned Magistrate Lalor has refused bail.
