A fitting memorial for Steve Pratt

By johnboy - 21 October 2008 44

Much thanks to Ampersand Duck for digging out this little gem.

Steve Pratt, the scourge of street art has at least been fittingly memorialised as his political career comes to a close.

What’s “ELN”?

We suspect it’s ELK, a noted Canberra street artist.

What a loss for the Assembly. Who will we be able to marvel at? Oh hang on, with seventeen members we shouldn’t have too much trouble finding a new stooge or two.

I apologise in advance, and please keep in mind that I have only just returned to Australia / Canberra. Can someone explain the meaning behind this mural. I think it looks really cool and I agree that Canberra needs more public art like this. But understanding the meaning would be excellent.

Gold. This is the public art Canberra needs.

Slap a few clear coats on, it’ll last longer.
