The Canberra Times has a scathing commentary on the ACT Planning and Land Council. The The Royal Australian Institute of Architects ACT president has apparently said:
The ACT’s independent planning council was a complete failure and regularly gave ill-informed and inaccurate advice, according to an architects’ peak body.
… contributed nothing to planning in the territory.
… it has been a complete failure
And it would seem the council has little interest in getting onto the front foot:
The council’s chairman, Sydney’s Deputy Lord Mayor John McInerney, did not return calls from The Canberra Times yesterday.
Anyone didn’t see that coming?
