ACT Planning Council a total foul up? Who would have thought it of a Corbell project?

johnboy 7 June 2005 5

The Canberra Times has a scathing commentary on the ACT Planning and Land Council. The The Royal Australian Institute of Architects ACT president has apparently said:

The ACT’s independent planning council was a complete failure and regularly gave ill-informed and inaccurate advice, according to an architects’ peak body.

… contributed nothing to planning in the territory.

… it has been a complete failure

And it would seem the council has little interest in getting onto the front foot:

The council’s chairman, Sydney’s Deputy Lord Mayor John McInerney, did not return calls from The Canberra Times yesterday.

Anyone didn’t see that coming?

Hang on a sec…

Sydney’s Deputy Lord Mayor John McInerney

WTF does this guy have to do with planning issues in the ACT? Whats in his resume to get him an invite?

It’s a kickback bottleneck hiding under the guise of progressive leadership. Few local ‘authorities’ are anything but.

Nice to see the Canberra Times following up on stories reported four days earlier on the ABC. They even sought out the same talent.

Amaroo, like all disaster, had many parents.

This was one of Simon’s works of a few years ago. It’s just come back to bite him now.

Not that he’ll feel it as he suns himself in the northern hemisphere.

And just after I gave Simon a wrap for his totally unusual and quite rational outbreak of sanity by relaxing urban regulations….

It seems Simon has moosed a couple of boundaries off the front foot through the covers and then copped a nasty short one around his chin.

And his technique has been found wanting against the short stuff (much like one MG Bevan, sorry Bevo…)

Sorry about the cricket analogies, its winter, at Ear-Ring Boy has gone back to his usual incompetency, not such a bad thing because at least everyone knows where they stand.

What next, another Amaroo?

Oh well, let the good times roll…
