ACT records 10th road fatality after accident on Black Mountain

A 10th person has died on ACT roads after a single-vehicle accident at Black Mountain last night (4 June).

At about 10:15 pm, police and emergency services were called to a single-vehicle incident on Black Mountain Road.

A 19-year-old woman was driving a Toyota coupe when she failed to negotiate a bend in the road and hit a tree.

Emergency services were able to remove the woman from her vehicle and she was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

This is the 10th road fatality in the ACT this year.

Police are urging drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions.

ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner
