ACT records 323 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 323 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 180 identified by PCR and 143 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 60 people in hospital, including two in intensive care and one being ventilated.

This brings the number of active cases in the ACT to 2623. Yesterday there were 372 new cases.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 53.2 per cent of ACT residents aged over 18 have received a booster shot.

NSW recorded 7893 new cases and 28 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 7169 new cases and six deaths.
