ACT records 620 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 620 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 438 identified by PCR and 182 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 61 people in hospital, including five in intensive care and one being ventilated.

This brings the number of active cases in the ACT to 4,648. Yesterday there were 734 new cases.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 44.9 per cent of ACT residents aged over 18 have received a booster shot.

NSW recorded 13,354 new cases and 49 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 12,250 new cases and 31 deaths.
